So maybe it's just me but SpecsJolt has always seemed like the most effective variant of Jolteon to me. And there are ways it would benefit your team in particular. For instance, SpecsJolt usually carries Baton Pass (it doesn't pass anything, but allows the opponent to switch before you do, so you can immediately send in something it doesn't threaten). So for instance, you could send Jolteon in, they switch to, say, Gliscor or something, you use Baton Pass, switch to maybe Machamp, and they'd probably switch out because Machamp often carries Ice Punch. And you can simply begin setting up with Sub or Bulk Up that way.
Also on Machamp I would maybe recommend Stone Edge over Sub because it really helps you out against stuff like Gyarados, Mence, Zapdos, etc. And because of No Guard it gets perfect accuracy.
